Frequently Asked Questions
Where are your products manufactured?
Our rubberised components are manufactured at a state-of-the-art rubberised manufacturing facility in the UK.
Does it replace kerbs?
No. Our rubberised kerbing overlay system isn’t designed to replace existing kerbing infrastructure, it’s designed to utilise it. Our system works by attaching our rubberised components to the existing kerbing infrastructure using two fixing points.
Can I deploy cables in the system?
Yes our rubberised components have a design feature called an above-ground ducting system which allows a 10mm Steel Wired Armoured cable to be “housed” within the device. Removing the need to excavate where the system is installed.
Do you distribute overseas?
Yes, we deliver our solutions internationally.
What are your rubber components manufactured from?
Our rubberised components are manufactured from Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer - EPDM. Our rubber components are eco-friendly, sustainable, 100% recyclable, non-toxic, and UV resistant.
In a report titled “Building the Future” Greenpeace placed EPDM at the top of its list for low-impact membranes.
EPDM has a significantly low environmental impact. The amount of energy needed to produce EPDM is so low that it has one of the lowest embodied energy numbers, which represents the amount of energy that is required to create and install the product in the first place.
Do you offer a warranty?
We offer a five-year warranty with our core rubberised components and a one-year warranty with our reflective components.
Can products be coloured?
Our core rubberised components can be manufactured in most standard colours. In addition, our rubberised products are coloured through their entirety.
Is it a modular system?
Yes, our system is manufactured in half-metre sections. Making it far more efficient and versatile to install and repair should it be damaged. In addition, should the client wish to upgrade the system only certain units will need upgrading.
How much does a rubber component weigh?
A rubberised component weighs approximately 1kg. Making it one of the most lightweight solutions on the market. In addition, this ensures that if installed on weight-critical infrastructure assets it does not exceed the engineered contingency.
How does the product remain clean?
Our rubberised units are made from EPDM, classified as an air-tight material which means it is exceptionally tough, airtight, and weathertight. Essentially, it's an anti-porous material. EPDM remains impervious to heavy rain and the baking sun, is puncture-resistant, and highly elastic for decades.
Our glass bead reflectors are low maintenance because each glass bead has a domed effect. This means when it rains, the water runs over each bead individually, providing an element of cleaning.
